At Ancient Surfaces we are committed to preserving the elegance and history of architectural antiquity. We reclaim, carve and restore antique stone sinks, turning limestone basins that served kitchens and courtyards centuries ago into the quiet centre of homes being built today. A sink is where a household gathers every single day, and we think it deserves stone with something behind it.

Our artisans specialise in reclaimed limestone sinks of every character. French farmhouse troughs with worn aprons, Italian marble vessel basins, carved console sinks carried on corbel legs, pietra dura tops inlaid with onyx and jasper, and plain provincial washbasins where the stone does all the talking. Each antique stone sink is cleaned, stabilised and conserved with respect for the patina it arrived with. We are careful never to restore that away.
