Antique Marble Vessel Sink with Carved Lug Handles

A round marble mortar hollowed from a single block and reborn as a countertop vessel sink. Four carved lugs stand proud of the rim, the outer wall keeps every pit and bruise the stone earned outdoors, and the inside has aged to a warm biscuit against the cool white edges. Set here on a reclaimed oak plank under a copper wall faucet, it makes the case for an antique marble vessel sink over anything cut new. Conserved by Ancient Surfaces.
