Pietra Dura Limestone Sink with an Onyx Basin and Bird Mosaics

One of the most decorated stone sinks in the Ancient Surfaces archive. Two pietra dura panels of perched birds are set into the cream limestone top in cut marble and jasper, flanking a shallow basin of honey onyx that glows when it is wet. A geometric mosaic band runs the length of the apron, inlaid marble squares finish the returns, and the whole piece stands on scrolled feet. A centrepiece antique stone sink for a powder room meant to stop people in the doorway.
